About Brothers Leagues Club

Past Brothers Leagues club began operating in Innisfail in 1984 trading on a restricted day license. In 1987 the club obtained a full liquor license operating from 10am to Midnight seven days a week. The club is said to have started with 150 members and currently has more than 5000 members.

Since the "Old Blue Shed" in 1984 to today the Club has grown into a modern facility, in 1992 the installation of 20 poker machines and a TAB facility was the start of the Club's transformation. In November 1997 KENO was installed and within a short time Brothers was named the number one Keno facility in Far North Queensland. 1997 also saw the development and construction of Office facilities, Sportsman's Bar and TAB outlets.

In 1999 the construction of 154 space car park was completed with local government assistance. In 2001 the club obtained an 11 seater courtesy bus as an additional service to our patrons. In 2003 major work commenced which saw the development of the new gaming lounge now containing 56 machines, foyer/reception, new kitchen and a beer garden.

With this development the club receive a renewed resurgence within the community as a venue for social gatherings and good quality food and entertainment and a great atmosphere. Due to the increase in patronage the Club decided to offer the people of Innisfail and surrounding areas another reception venue. Work commenced in 2005 on this expansion which included new toilets and a function room that accommodates approximately 150 people.

In 2006 Brothers Leagues Club along with many others in the community sustained damage from Tropical Cyclone Larry. The club was closed for a week and suffered major damage with the destruction of the partially built function centre, loss of power for two and a half weeks, plus other major structural damage.

In October 2007 this newest addition, the "Shamrock Room", was opened and held its first function, "The Brothers Confraternity Conference". The room is enjoying great success and is one of the most stylish venues in the area.

Late 2010 work commenced on extending our Gaming Lounge to accommodate for an additional 14 new machines. Such an exciting time meant half of our beer garden had to be removed to build this extension. Construction ended at the beginning of December 2010 and our new and more spacious Gaming Lounge was opened to amazing feedback from our Members and guests. It is this feedback and support that ensures Brothers Leagues Club Innisfail is moving into the 21st century and is one of the top social destinations in the Far North Queensland area.

In February 2020 work commenced in our Bistro, lowering the ceiling to accomodate our new aircon, light and sound systems. The Club was freshly painted throughout, with new Keno chairs added. Our Function Room had a face lift with new paint on the walls replacing the old wallpaper and new carpet.
